After swapping the wire for more plastic i decided to use this cog as a mold for a series of plaster cogs as they would be stronger and i could make several identical ones.

While most of the cogs didn't turn out as I had hoped I think they are still really interesting as objects to look at. I like the broken down nature of them. I think they could make an interesting sculptural piece. The reason the cogs didn't work out properly was because the plaster bandage  used was already gone off and didn't set properly.

While I was taking pictures of the clocks that I have been using as source material I noticed that they cast some really interesting shadows.

I think looking at the shadows and parts of the clock in more detail could be an interesting way forward in this project..
