Fashion!!!

For our first year 2 week project we were given a brief based on shape. We had to pick a theme based on a selection of words and use that as our starting point for pulling shapes. For my theme I choose to use car engines. These are some of the drawings I done from my research material.

After doing about 10 of these drawings I began to pull different shapes from them. We then had to pick 2 shapes to work with on the mannequin.

These are the shapes I chose to work with.

After cutting the shapes out in several different sizes we worked with the on them mannequin. bending and folding them to create new shapes and pinning them to different parts of the body, to explore all the possible ways the shapes could work.
